Prof. Susanna is an Ayurvedic physician from Kerala, India, born into a family with strong roots in Ayurveda and Naturopathy. With over 15 years of clinical practice experience, she has worked in Canada, India, the Middle East, and the Caribbean before founding SA Miracle Health Clinic. Over the years, Prof. Susanna has gained valuable international experience in more than five countries, treating a diverse range of medical conditions. She has developed deep expertise in pain management and the treatment of conditions such as arthritis, sciatica, cervical and lumbar spondylosis, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, diabetes, hypertension, urticaria, atopic dermatitis, other skin-related issues, respiratory allergies, chronic rhinitis, and sinusitis. Additionally, she specializes in antenatal and postnatal care, post-menopausal syndrome, and various skin and hair issues.
Prof. Susanna is proficient in providing Osteopathy treatments and Panchakarma (detoxification and rejuvenation therapies), which include Abhyanga, Shirodhara, Swedana, Nasya or Shirovirechana, Netra Basti, Kati Basti, Uro Basti, Shiroabhyanga, Udvarthana, Navara Kizhi, Pizhichil, and Kalpa (coconut scrub). She holds a PhD in Public Health and has consistently emphasized the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to managing medical conditions, especially chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs). She highlights the roles of primordial prevention, health promotion, and primary prevention activities in this context. Furthermore she serves as a course chair and a faculty member of Canadian sonography institute research centre in Toronto.
Prof. Susanna has published over 45 research papers in international peer-reviewed journals and has traveled to more than 25 countries. As a public health specialist, she has rich international experience in Canada, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and India. She has participated in various international and global studies focused on infectious diseases and chronic NCDs. Her areas of expertise in public health research include health promotion, behavior change, prevention, and health communication. She has a solid track record of publications in top journals such as The Lancet, JAMA, Nature, and BMJ.
